The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greco lands a front kick.

Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Greco as he jumps to the side.

Greco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Penn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Penn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Greco has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Greco seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Penn is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Penn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Greco walks away with a smile on his face. Penn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Greco closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Penn did well to prevent Greco getting side control.
Well, if Greco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn tries to get to full guard but Greco has control of the leg.
