Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Paint It Black By The Rolling Stones. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ralph Drysdale!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drysdale scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Drysdale thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Knox's head.
Knox is staying active underneath Drysdale, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Drysdale seems to be working for a kimura but Knox defends the submission attempt.

Drysdale is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knox is just riding it out for now. Drysdale eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horrible takedown by Drysdale or perhaps it was just good defense by Knox which made him look bad.
Knox catches Drysdale with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Some bone on bone action there as Drysdale checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Knox lands a nice shot that snaps Drysdale's head back.

Drysdale displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Knox throws out the jab.

Knox is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Knox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Drysdale is controlling him.

I would just about give that final round to Ralph Drysdale.
