Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Salvador Dali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Mercurious!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercurious looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mercurious walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mercurious, as that shot connected.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mercurious misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice defenses there by Mercurious.
Mercurious throws a body punch but Dali moves out of range.
Dali on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Mercurious checks a leg kick.
Dali swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mercurious is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dali.
Dali looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dali misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mercurious has closed the distance and engaged Dali in a clinch.

Mercurious breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dali throws a series of punches but Mercurious moves out of range.
Dali looks to land a right hand but Mercurious moved out of range.
Dali looks for a takedown but Mercurious sprawls well.
Mercurious throws a right and a left that Dali avoids nicely.
Mercurious misses with a hook. Dali ducked under it nicely.
A lazy left from Mercurious finds it's target.


It looks like Salvador Dali has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mercurious lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dali circles away quickly and effectively.
Mercurious leaves Dali with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dali shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dali fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvador Dali. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dali throws a nice looking combination but Mercurious bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mercurious shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dali's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dali looking for a guillotine here but Mercurious defends easily.
Mercurious stands and throws Dali's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mercurious trying to control the action but Dali is working from the bottom.
Dali is looking to reverse the position.
Mercurious moves into full mount!
Dali is looking to improve his position but Mercurious isn't that keen on the idea.
Dali sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dali avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mercurious.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dali looking for submissions off his back.
Dali is staying active underneath Mercurious, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dali looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Mercurious wants to control but Dali is keeping him busy.
Dali won't allow Mercurious to pass to mount.
Dali is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mercurious is nestled in close to Dali, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mercurious lands a nice short elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mercurious slips a nice elbow through Dali's hands, connecting with Dali's forehead.
Dali wants to get back to full guard.

Dali actively working from the bottom here.
Mercurious winds up and cracks Dali with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mercurious really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dali. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mercurious lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Mercurious lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dali wants to improve his position but Mercurious is controlling well.
Dali makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dali.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mercurious trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dali is looking for a triangle but Mercurious pushes his legs off easily.
Mercurious pushes down on Dali's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Dali looking for submissions off his back.
Dali is breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mercurious connects with a nice short shot to Dali's temple.
Mercurious is looking to advance position but Dali won't allow it.
Mercurious scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dali gets full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dali looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dali looking for a guillotine here but Mercurious defends easily.
Mercurious lands a couple of elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Mercurious dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Salvador Dali's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Mercurious throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dali thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mercurious looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mercurious swings for the body but Dali moves out of range.
Mercurious stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mercurious wants it to stay on the feet.
Mercurious throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Mercurious scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Mercurious lands the left hand.
Salvador Dali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dali takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Mercurious is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Dali hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mike Mercurious!
