Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Rimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xavier's entrance music is xmen song. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Logan Xavier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 2, fighting out of London, Arnold Rimmer!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rimmer slips under a jab from Xavier.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rimmer is defended easily by Xavier.
Rimmer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Xavier avoids it really well and circles away.

Rimmer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rimmer lands in his opponent's guard.
Xavier is looking to stand back up but Rimmer counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Xavier.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rimmer connects with a nice short shot to Xavier's temple.
Rimmer scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rimmer drops an elbow to the side of Xavier's head.

Rimmer is keen to just control but Xavier is a slippery customer.

Rimmer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Xavier with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Xavier is staying active underneath Rimmer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rimmer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

BOOM! Rimmer connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Xavier is squirming around, avoiding Rimmer's attempts to control the action.

Xavier is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Rimmer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnold Rimmer dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Rimmer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Xavier leaves Rimmer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Rimmer punishes Xavier's body with a nice straight punch.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Xavier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rimmer.

Rimmer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rimmer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rimmer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
