These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCray drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McCray thows a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McCray trying to control the position from guard on top but Talibah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McCray decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

McCray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and McCray counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Talibah!

Talibah tries to hold on but McCray postures up.
Talibah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McCray wants to control the pace but Talibah is squirming around nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Talibah can do anything to dispel that myth.
Talibah is desperately trying to improve his position but McCray has a good base and remains in mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

McCray throws an overhand right that lands on Talibah's shoulder, as Talibah tries to avoid the shot.

Talibah is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McCray's half guard.
McCray is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Talibah's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Talibah's back!

McCray has the hooks in. Talibah is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. McCray passes his arm under Talibah's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Talibah taps!
