Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Verdek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Austin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sven Verdek!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin wants to slow Verdek down by chopping away at his legs.
Austin stuffs the takedown.
Verdek fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Austin waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Verdek.
Verdek looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Steve Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sven Verdek.
Verdek fails to land the takedown.
Austin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Austin throws a jab when Verdek was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin looks to land a right hand but Verdek moved out of range.

Verdek fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Austin sprawls well initially but Verdek persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Austin wants to control but Verdek is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Austin wants to get back to full guard.
Austin is looking to escape.
Verdek trying to pass the guard but Austin defending well.
Verdek works his way into full mount!
Austin tries to hold on but Verdek postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Austin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Austin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Verdek has a closed guard, preventing Austin from standing up.
Austin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Austinis looking to pass into half guard but Verdek pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Verdek is in guard.
Austin wants to stand and escape but Verdek is having none of it.
Austin is pulling down on Verdek's head. It's preventing any offense from Verdek, at least for the moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Austin wants to get back to his feet but Verdek is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Verdek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Austin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Austin wants to sweep here but Verdek controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Austin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Verdek sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Austin stuffs the takedown.
Austin throws a shot from downtown. Verdek moves away and avoids it.
A jab-cross combination lands for Austin and sends Verdek crashing to the mat! Austin follows him down to the mat - Verdek regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Verdek is rocked!

It looks like Sven Verdek has been cut.

Austin stands up out of the half guard.
Verdek is still on wobbly legs! Can Austin finish him?
Verdek looks gassed!
Verdek is holding his hands too far apart here. Austin throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Verdek is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
