The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Kongo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
An inside leg kick lands from Kongo.

Kongo throws a head kick that misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.
Kongo feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kongo lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! Kongo takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Jamal Jones has been cut.

Good leg kick by Kongo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kongo is looking to land body kicks.

Kongo lands a big uppercut and Jones crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jones looks OK. Kongo waves Jones back to his feet!

Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Kongo tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kongo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kongo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Kongo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kongo tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jones throws some wild stikes that Kongo manages to avoid easily.
Kongo tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
Poor strikes thrown by Jones there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kongo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kongo is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Jones avoids the attempt from Kongo to control.
