Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Alot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alot comes to the cage accompanied by Ether. Lance Alot could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Russell Jacobs's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Jacobs. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jacobs.

Alot throws a strike but Jacobs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jacobs wants to stand but Alot is controlling his posture from full guard.

Alot bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Alot drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jacobs manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alot has Jacobs in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Alot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jacobs is aware though and is defending well.

Jacobs wants to control from the top but Alot keeps moving.

Jacobs stands and steps away. Alot gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jacobs throws a right and a left that Alot avoids nicely.

Alot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jacobs is positioning himself well to prevent Alot advancing to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alot uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jacobs.

Nice uppercut lands for Jacobs. That snapped Alot's head back.
Jacobs cracks Alot with an open hand slap.

Jacobs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jacobs lands with a big right hook that stumbles Alot - he's out on his feet here! Jacobs follows up with another monster hook that separates Alot from consciousness! Alot falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Jacobs stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
