Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Szyszka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Aleksander Szyszka has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aleksander Szyszka seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullen throws a series of punches but Szyszka moves out of range.
Szyszka shoots in looking for a takedown. Mullen tries to sprawl out of it but Szyszka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mullen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Szyszka fails with a takedown attempt.
Szyszka is breathing heavily.
Szyszka moves out of range of the leg kick from Mullen.
Mullen swinging wildly here.
Aleksander Szyszka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mullen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Szyszka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Szyszka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mullen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Szyszka somewhat.

The fighters circle momentarily. Mullen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mullen closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Mullen tries to bum rush Szyszka with a series of wild strikes but Szyszka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mullen throws a right and a left that both miss.
An inside leg kick lands from Mullen.
Mullen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Szyszka checks a leg kick.
Szyszka showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mullen.
Mullen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mullen misses with a few strikes there.
Szyszka doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mullen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mullen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Szyszka swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mullen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Szyszka.

Szyszka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mullen to the mat! Mullen manages to get full guard.
Szyszka stops Mullen from standing up.

Szyszka has gone for a leg lock! Mullen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Szyszka's guard.

Szyszka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mullen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mullen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Szyszka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mullen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Szyszka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mullen defends well.

Mullen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Some wild striking there from Mullen.
Szyszka fails with the takedown
and Mullen counters with a three punch combo that has Szyszka backing up. Szyszka nods at Mullen to acknowledge the strikes.

Mullen has taken the fight to the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Mullen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mullen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Szyszka has him pressed against the cage.
Mullen scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Mullen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mullen scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Mullen drives through with a takedown into guard.

Szyszka is looking for a triangle but Mullen pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Szyszka is on top in guard.

Szyszka advances to half guard.

Szyszka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mullen has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Szyszka is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Szyszka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mullen is just riding it out for now. Szyszka eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Larry Mullen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Mullen throws a series of punches but Szyszka avoids them all with ease.
Mullen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mullen lands a jab-cross combination.
A jab lands there for Mullen.
Mullen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mullen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Szyszka at a distance.
Mullen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Szyszka shoots and misses
and Szyszka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Szyszka blocks a leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Mullen.
Mullen closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Szyszka is rocked!
Mullen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Szyszka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mullen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mullen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Szyszka.
Mullen drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Szyszka right on the button. Szyszka goes down! Mullen follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Mullen gets the win via TKO!
