Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Prince Nana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prolly Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nana's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Diamonds From Sierra Leone. Prince Nana has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Prolly Rain!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rain showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nana.
Nana doesn't manage to clinch there - Rain circles away.
A combination from Nana does no damage.

Rain fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nana sprawls well initially but Rain persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nana regains full guard. Nicely done.
Nana controls Rain momentarily but Rain frees himself.
Nana wants to sweep here but Rain controlling him for the moment.
Rain content to stall in guard here.
Rain trying to control the position from guard on top but Nana is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nana can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rain controls the pace.

Rain controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Despite being in the dominant position, Prolly Rain just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nana misses with a wild body shot.

Nana lands with a thumping leg kick.

Nana misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nana misses the shot to the body.
Nana throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Rain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Nana struggling a bit here.

Rain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nana, who protects the arm well.
Rain staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Nana manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Nana is looking to take a break and control but Rain is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rain looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Rain avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nana.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nana lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rain is looking for a sweep. Nana is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nana pulls his head out easily.
Rain looks gassed!
Nana is keen to just control but Rain is a slippery customer.

Rain actively working from the bottom here.
Nana frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Nana working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Nana breaks from Rain's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Prince Nana will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Rain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nana's waist but Nana gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rain off to one side.
Rain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nana.
Nana looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nana cracks Rain with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rain fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nana tries to bum rush Rain with a series of wild strikes but Rain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rain slips a straight right by Nana.
Nana fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rain manages to avoid it.
Nana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A slow jab from Nana misses its intended target.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nana listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Nana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nana looks to score with a jab to the body but Rain is just out of range.
Nana scores with a one two! Rain had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Nana misses with a few strikes there.
Nana misses with a hook. Rain ducked under it nicely.
Rain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nana is fending him off so far but Rain persists. Nope, Nana circles away and we're back to standing.
Prince Nana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Prolly Rain.

Nana defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rain.
Nana throws a series of punches but Rain avoids them all with ease.
Nana stuffs the takedown attempt from Rain. Rain gets slowly back to his feet.
Prince Nana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nana comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nana is looking to wear down Rain with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nana chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Rain looks for a takedown but Nana sprawls well.
Rain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nana pinned against the cage. Nana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Prince Nana is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nana doesn't manage to clinch there - Rain circles away.
Nana tries to clinch but Rain moves out of range.
Nana misses with a low kick.

Rain shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rain is pressing down on Nana's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nana is holding on for now.

Rain is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nana is just riding it out for now. Rain eventually gives up the hold.
Rain seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Nana is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rain seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nana does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Nana closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nana prevents the takedown attempt.
Rain has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nana avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Prince Nana is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rain shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nana misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nana tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nana throws a hook but Rain avoids it easily.

Nana lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rain circles away quickly and effectively.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rain looking to isolate an arm here. Nana doesn't see it coming and as Rain extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Rain!
