Despite being in the dominant position, Marles Chartel just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chartel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ballo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ballo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chartel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chartel's back!

Chartel has hold of Ballo's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
I really don't envy Chartel right now.

Let's hope that Chartel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
