The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture leaves Keenan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Keenan clinches with his opponent.
Keenan landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Keenan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Keenan is defended easily by Couture.

Couture fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Keenan sprawls well initially but Couture persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Couture is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Keenan as he works his way to full guard.

Keenan has his foot on Couture's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Couture works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Keenan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Couture uses it to pass to side control.
Keenan is breathing heavily.
Couture has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Couture avoids the attempt from Keenan to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Keenan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Couture is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Keenan is surviving well by controlling Couture's body position as best he can.
Keenan throwing hammer fists to the chest of Couture. What's that going to do exactly?

Couture is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Keenan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Keenan shrugs it off.
