Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammed Muhammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jasper Higgins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Muhammed Muhammed!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Higgins has managed to clinch.
Muhammed on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Muhammed successfully pulls guard.
Muhammed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Higgins's guard.

Higgins could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Muhammed trying to control the position from guard on top but Higgins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Higgins pulls Muhammed in to control the position.
Muhammed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Higgins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Higgins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Muhammed is one step ahead there.
Muhammed trying to control but Higgins is working from the bottom.

Muhammed works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Muhammed is looking to advance position but Higgins won't allow it.
Muhammed throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Higgins is refusing to be controlled, as Muhammed sits in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Higgins tries to clinch there but Muhammed circles away.

Higgins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Muhammed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Muhammed manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Muhammed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Muhammed wants to pass the guard but Higgins is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Higgins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Higgins.
Higgins looking for a sweep. Not yet Higgins, not yet.
Muhammed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Higgins is keeping the position for now.
Muhammed won't allow Higgins to get back to his feet.

Muhammed wants to control from the top but Higgins keeps moving.
Muhammed stopping the sweep attempt from Higgins.

Higgins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Muhammed prevents the takedown attempt.

Higgins is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Higgins has Muhammed pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Higgins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Muhammed tumbling to the mat - Higgins dives into Muhammed's guard.

Muhammed goes for a takedown in the clinch but Higgins prevents it.
Jasper Higgins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhammed Muhammed.
Higgins is trying to stall.

Muhammed gets the takedown into side control.
Higgins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Muhammed is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Higgins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Muhammed is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Higgins looks calm but he's in trouble here. Muhammed gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Higgins is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Muhammed lets go of the hold and Higgins can pop his arm back in it's socket.
