Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Funke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funke comes to the cage accompanied by never gonna stop. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cody Funke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cameron Hopper!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Hopper or perhaps it was just good defense by Funke which made him look bad.
Funke stuffs the takedown attempt from Hopper. Hopper gets slowly back to his feet.
Hopper shoots in for a double leg but Funke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cody Funke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Hopper.
Funke throws a nice looking combination but Hopper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Funke throws a series of punches but Hopper moves out of range.
Cody Funke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Funke looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hopper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hopper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Funke is working away from the top position though.

Funke wants to control the pace but Hopper is squirming around nicely.
