PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Upton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Upton has chosen Shutterbug- by Big Boi as his entrance music. Luke Upton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foreman doesn't manage to clinch there - Upton circles away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Foreman tries for a takedown but Upton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Upton is pushing down on Foreman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Foreman is fighting to maintain full guard but Upton has managed to sneak the leg through.
Foreman is staying active underneath Upton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Foreman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Upton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Upton's back!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Upton has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Upton turns into Foreman and is now in his guard.

Upton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foreman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Upton has managed to get both his arms back between Foreman's legs - danger averted.
