The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns scores with a jab. Bernard acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Marilio Bernard has been cut.
Burns scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Burns lands a right hook to the body.
Burns bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bernard's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burns stuffs the takedown.
Bernard fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bernard looks gassed!
Bernard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burns avoids it really well and circles away.
Predator Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marilio Bernard.
Burns lands a nice hook to Bernard's body. Bernard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bernard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bernard takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bernard is rocked!
Burns sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Bernard's defenses. It connects perfectly with Bernard's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
