The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans works over Pohjanala's head and body with a nice combination.
Pohjanala tries to clinch but Evans is having none of it.
Evans swats away the attempt to clinch by Pohjanala.

and Evans counters with a left and a right that stings Pohjanala.
Pohjanala closes the distance looking to clinch

Evans scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Pohjanala manages to mount him!

Pohjanala is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Evans to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Evans shrugs it off.

Evans trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Pohjanala has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Evans has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Evans controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pohjanala is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Evans with him. Evans is trying to defend but Pohjanala has an arm under the chin now! Evans grimaces and is forced to tap out!
