The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a series of punches but kiefer moves out of range.
Silva lands with an uppercut that bounces kiefer off the cage and back into rage.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Justin Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Silva throws a solid leg kick but kiefer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Silva.
Silva fakes a jab and throws a low kick but kiefer checks it well.

Silva throws a right and a left that kiefer avoids nicely.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
kiefer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.

kiefer has hold of Silva's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silva tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - kiefer cranks the arm and Silva screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silva, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
