Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sou Saluki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spinx's entrance music is Eye of the Tiger. A fine choice. Sou Saluki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jack Spinx's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spinx shoots in for a takedown but Saluki shows good takedown defense.
Saluki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Spinx tries to close the distance and clinch but Saluki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Saluki lands a right hook to the body.
Saluki keeps the fight on the outside.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Knees to the body from Spinx.
Saluki wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spinx has him pressed against the cage.
Saluki wants a takedown but no success here.
Spinx crunches a lovely knee into Saluki's ribcage.
Spinx is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Spinx looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Saluki has picked Spinx up and slammed him! Spinx can't keep hold of the triangle and Saluki manages to pass to side control!
Spinx tries to bench press Saluki off him but Saluki keeps the position.

Saluki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Spinx is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Saluki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Spinx has escaped the position, nice work there.

Spinx is not content to let Saluki control the position.
Saluki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saluki is stalling here. Spinx is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Saluki seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Spinx has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
