Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Shiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hero Lee!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Shiro.
Lee is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Shiro off and has taken his back!
Shiro wants to escape the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shiro drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Shiro off! Shiro jumps back into Lee's guard.

Shiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Shiro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lee is looking for a sweep.
Shiro in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Lee is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Shiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
Lee is looking for a sweep.
Lee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Shiro working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Shiro looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lee is avoiding damage well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shiro's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Shiro wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Shiro stands up and beckons Lee to join him on the feet.

Shiro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lee!

Shiro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lee wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Shiro.

Shiro is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Shiro extends the arm and Lee is forced to tap!
