PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between B ER (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jason Adams was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, B ER!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Adams!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ER misses with a double jab.
ER lands with a right hand.
Adams slips under a jab.
ER connects with a crisp jab.
ER throws a series of punches but Adams moves out of range.
ER cracks Adams with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
ER's corner calls for a 1-2. ER obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Adams blocks a jab.
A combination from ER does no damage.
ER looks to throw the jab but Adams is out of range.
Nice shot lands for ER.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Adams.
Adams taking a breather here.

Adams wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by ER, who protects the arm well.
Adams wants to lay and pray for a moment but ER keeps working.
ER knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adams on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
ER wants to control but Adams postures up.
ER tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Adams wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Adams decides to stand up, so the ref orders ER to his feet.
Adams ducks under a wild hook from ER.
Adams avoids a punch combination nicely.

Adams clinches up with ER and pushes him back against the cage.
Adams drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
ER wants to break the clinch but can't.

Adams pulls guard successfully.
Adams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for ER!
ER working to try and regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
ER is working hard here to advance position.
Adams is landing with some decent strikes but ER is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
ER is trying to reverse the position but instead Adams has taken his back - oops!

ER showing good submission defense here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
ER is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
ER wants to escape the position.
Adams keeps control of the position easily here as ER tries to buck him off.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
I looks like Adams might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Adams is persistently looking for the submission but ER is defending it well.
Adams controlling well, preventing ER from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Adams somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams keeps control of the position easily here as ER tries to buck him off.

Adams working for a choke but ER is defending well.
Adams misses with an elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Adams dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


ER scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like Jason Adams has been cut.
Adams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but ER avoids it really well and circles away.
ER is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Adams has taken the fight to the clinch.

Adams manages to break the clinch.
B ER seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
ER cracks Adams with a right hand to the side of the head.
Adams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Adams clinches up with ER and pushes him back against the cage.
Adams has ER pressed against the cage.
Adams fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Adams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
ER lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A swing and a miss from ER.
ER moves out of range of the body kick from Adams.
ER listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jab, jab by ER - just one landing.
Adams gets cracked there but stands up to it.


That has opened up Jason Adams's cut even more.
Adams has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from ER finds it's way round the side to connect with Adams's head.
Adams is breathing heavily.
Adams shoots for a takedown but ER saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
B ER has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Adams.

That's one minute gone in the round.

ER lands a left and a right that send Adams crashing to the mat, dazed. ER thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Adams is rocked!
B ER is winning the standup battle so far.
ER lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Adams is looking to close the distance but ER sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Adams crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Adams is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). B ER!
