The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Silva counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether GiantS might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Chael Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. GiantS looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from GiantS.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for GiantS. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

GiantS shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with GiantS. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and GiantS manages to pass to side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
GiantS lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
GiantS tries to control but Silva wriggling away.

GiantS goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Silva is on top in guard.
GiantS is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.

GiantS working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
GiantS not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva postures up in GiantS's guard and throws a big left but GiantS blocks it.

KiLLer Of GiantS has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
GiantS will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
