Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Brasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brasco closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cole tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brasco smiles and moves away.

Cole closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brasco to the mat! Brasco manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cole is nestled in close to Brasco, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brasco wants to control but Cole is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Cole looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brasco with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Brasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cole lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Brasco is looking to escape.
Brasco has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cole is working away from the top position though.
Brasco works his way to full guard. Good work.
Brasco thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Brasco pushes Cole off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Brasco gets caught flat footed, as Cole shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cole has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cole is breathing heavily.
Cole postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cole is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Cole throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Cole is looking for a kimura but Brasco is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cole to get the leverage.

Cole seems to be looking for submissions.
Cole looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Brasco is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cole's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cole's back!
Cole rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Brasco is figuring out what he wants to do next.
It looks like Brasco is going to stand back up.
Cole slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cole closes the distance and clinches up with Brasco, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes Brasco against the cage but Brasco circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brasco shoots and misses

and Cole counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brasco's guard now.
Cole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brasco swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cole drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brasco looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brasco looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brasco!
Brasco wants to stand but Cole has his arm trapped.

Brasco stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Brasco throws a sloppy head kick and Cole moves out of range easily.
Cole takes one to the chin there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cole throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brasco's waist but Brasco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cole off to one side.

Cole shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cole showed some decent athleticism there.

Brasco takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Cole is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Brasco is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Brasco flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Cole anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Brasco and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Cole slips an arm under Brasco chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Cole has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Cole is squeezing on Brasco like an anaconda would it's prey. Brasco fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
