Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Dalit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronald Vega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Dalit!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalit throws a right and a left that Vega avoids nicely.

Vega scores a takedown into full mount!
Vega with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Vega is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dalit is surviving well by controlling Vega's body position as best he can.
Dalit tries to lock up and control but Vega gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Vega looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Vega is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dalit is surviving well by controlling Vega's body position as best he can.

Vega wants to finish this one by submission but Dalit is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vega.
Vega is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vega is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dalit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dalit shrugs it off.

Vega has control of Dalit's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dalit regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dalit tries to hold on but Vega postures up.

Vega swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ronald Vega!
