Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herb Tarlic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Cifer Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cifer Jr takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Tarlic looks for a takedown but Cifer Jr sprawls well.
Cifer Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tarlic avoids it really well and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cifer Jr is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Tarlic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cifer Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tarlic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cifer Jr's head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cifer Jr can do anything to dispel that myth.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tarlic connects with a nice short shot to Cifer Jr's temple.
Tarlic thows a huge punch but Cifer Jr dodges it nicely.
Cifer Jr is controlling Tarlic's trapped leg to prevent Tarlic from advancing to side control.
Tarlic is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Tarlic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cifer Jr lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Some bone on bone action there as Cifer Jr checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
