Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Victor Sagat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oskar Skott!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skott has managed to clinch.
Sagat throws an elbow but it misses.
Sagat drops down looking for an ankle pick but Skott pulls his leg out and moves away.

Sagat pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Skott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Skott.
Sagat tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Skott in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Skott misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Sagat throws a jab but it's blocked by Skott.

Skott rushes Sagat and presses him up against the cage.
Sagat comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Sagat misses with a knee to the head.
Skott is trying to break the clinch but Sagat has him pressed against the cage.
Sagat wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A frustrated look appears on Skott's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
With the fighters up against the cage, Sagat throws an elbow but misses.
Sagat tries to throw a body punch but Skott avoids it by throwing Sagat back against the cage.
Sagat fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Skott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sagat avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Sagat ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sagat no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Skott is looking to work some ground and pound but Sagat has wrist control.
Skott is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sagat goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Skott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sagat avoids it really well and circles away.

Skott feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Skott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sagat somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Skott throws a right hand that Sagat ducks under and follows up with a left that Sagat also avoids with ease.

Sagat throws a series of punches but Skott avoids them all with ease.

Sagat has Skott pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Skott manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Sagat has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Skott uses from the top position.

Skott is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sagat knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Oskar Skott is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sagat throws a jab but it's blocked by Skott.

Well Skott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
