The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Brews misses with a takedown attempt - Moreira sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Moreira tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brews swivels and escapes.
Brews doesn't manage to clinch there - Moreira circles away.

Brews's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Moreira is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Brews will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ricardo Moreira just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brews is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Moreira.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Moreira has cracked Brews with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Moreira lands another huge swinging hook and Brews tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Brews, before Moreira can land any more shots!
