Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gar Diu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demon Jin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diu's entrance music is Song of Manliness. A fine choice. Gar Diu has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diu lands a nice looking body kick.
Jin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diu is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jin is controlling him well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Jin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Diu tries to close the distance and clinch but Jin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Diu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Diu's guard now.
Diu wants to stand and escape but Jin is having none of it.

Diu manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Diu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A solid leg kick lands there for Diu.

Jin takes a kick to the side of the head.

and Jin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Diu won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jin throws an elbow but Diu slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jin wants to take a breather but Diu manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Jin.

Jin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Diu dives on top into guard.

A slapping body kick lands there for Diu.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jin. That did some damage!

Jin throws some wild stikes that Diu manages to avoid easily.
Diu really wants to buck Jin off and get back to his feet.

Poor strikes thrown by Jin there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Diu kicks Jin off and gets back to his feet.
Diu wants to clinch up but Jin keeps it at a distance.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Diu.

Diu darts in and clinches Jin up against the cage.

Diu scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Diu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Diu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jin backs up against the cage.
Gar Diu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diu tries to clinch there but Jin circles away.

Demon Jin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Diu works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Jin wants to work for an arm triangle but Diu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gar Diu will probably get the nod.
That's time! Diu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gar Diu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demon Jin.

A head kick from Diu lands but Jin takes it in his stride.

Good leg kick by Diu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
