The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Brown.
king misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
king shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brown misses with a wild body shot.
Brown scores with a jab to the jaw.
king throws a head kick that misses.
king tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
king misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Brown as king tries to tie him up.

king gets control of Brown's arms and successfully pulls guard. king will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
king throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and king has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between king's legs - danger averted.
Brown missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Brown drops back, looking for a kneebar! king looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. king looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from king!
Brown manages to get back to half guard.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
