Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Smarky Malarkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malarkey comes to the cage accompanied by LL Cool J -- Momma said knock you out.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Yoshida.
A combination from Yoshida does no damage.
Yoshida throws a push kick but Malarkey slaps the foot to one side.
Yoshida is looking to land body kicks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yoshida. Malarkey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Malarkey tries for a takedown but Yoshida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yoshida fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Malarkey avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Yoshida tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Malarkey swivels and escapes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Malarkey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Yoshida is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Malarkey off and has taken his back!
