Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Maine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge VonQulik!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VonQulik shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maine sprawls well. Maine wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. VonQulik gets slowly back to his feet.
Maine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
VonQulik checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
VonQulik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maine avoids it really well and circles away.
Maine goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick from Maine misses.
VonQulik shoots in but no luck this time.
Christopher Maine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge VonQulik.
VonQulik on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Maine. Maine obviously looking to wear him down.
Maine throws a sloppy head kick and VonQulik moves out of range easily.
Maine tries a low kick but VonQulik avoids it.
VonQulik misses with a body kick.
A head kick misses from Maine.
VonQulik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Maine looks to land a body kick but VonQulik moved away.
VonQulik misses with a takedown attempt - Maine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Maine throws a half hearted mid kick.
Maine connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Maine is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Maine tries a head kick but it misses.
Maine throws a head kick but VonQulik moves out of range.
Maine with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
VonQulik throws out a loose jab but Maine uses good head movement to avoid it.
Maine tries to clinch but VonQulik is having none of it.
VonQulik tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maine swivels and escapes.
Maine swats away the attempt to clinch by VonQulik.

VonQulik shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maine is trying to defend but VonQulik finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Maine wants to control but VonQulik is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Maine actively working from the bottom here.

VonQulik is working for a submission of some sort.
Maine pushes VonQulik off looking to stand but VonQulik dives back in and keeps control.

Maine is breathing heavily.
Maine is staying active underneath VonQulik, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
VonQulik throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Maine dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


VonQulik throws the left hand but Maine avoids the punch easily.

VonQulik drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Maine can't do much from the bottom here.
Maine tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but VonQulik wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
VonQulik is working Maine over with some ground and pound from side control.

VonQulik is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Maine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

VonQulik swings around for an armbar but Maine sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into VonQulik's guard.

VonQulik looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Maine has picked VonQulik up and slammed him! VonQulik can't keep hold of the triangle and Maine manages to pass to side control!
VonQulik tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
VonQulik wants to control but Maine is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Maine looking for a guillotine from mount but VonQulik is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
VonQulik tries to hold on but Maine pushes him away.

VonQulik is trying to reverse the position but instead Maine has taken his back - oops!
VonQulik is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Maine looking for the choke but no joy.

Maine looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. VonQulik is controlling Maine 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
VonQulik loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
VonQulik wants to control from the top but Maine keeps moving.
VonQulik works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Maine is looking to escape.

VonQulik is looking for a kimura here.

VonQulik is trying for a kimura here. Maine looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! VonQulik wins by kimura!
