Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pen Pen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pen misses with a head kick.
Pen misses with the combination.
Fisher moves in looking to clinch but Pen pushes him off.
Fisher avoids the head kick by Pen.
No joy there for Pen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pen misses with a series of wild punches.
Pen throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pen Pen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pen stalks Fisher and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fisher's face. Fisher staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Luke Fisher has been cut.
Pen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fisher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Oh Fisher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fisher takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

No joy there for Pen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Pen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fisher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fisher lands in his opponent's guard.

Fisher drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fisher jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fisher seems to have got his legs back now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fisher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fisher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fisher has picked Pen up and slammed him! Pen can't keep hold of the triangle and Fisher manages to pass to side control!

Fisher is looking to take a break and control but Pen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fisher advances to mount.

Fisher goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pen turns into him and now he's in Fisher's guard.

Fisher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pen tries a head kick but it misses.
Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with Pen, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes Pen against the ropes but Pen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Pen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pen throws a lazy right hand but Fisher sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fisher escapes and throws Pen's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Fisher is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pen has escaped the position, nice work there.

Fisher remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
