Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Destruction (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mr Destruction!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Al Riley!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley swinging wildly here.
Riley looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Destruction moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Al Riley has been cut.
Riley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Destruction scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riley takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Destruction throws a series of punches but Riley avoids them all with ease.
Destruction misses with a wild combination.
Destruction misses with a jab, cross combination.
Danga de danga de dang - Destruction scores with a four punch combination!
Destruction throws a shot to the body.
Destruction tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Destruction works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


That has opened up Al Riley's cut even more.

Destruction takes the fight into the clinch.

Destruction is trying to break the clinch but Riley has him pressed against the cage.
Destruction tries to circle away but Riley has him pinned against the cage.
Destruction wants to break the clinch but can't.
Destruction has had enough of the clinch but Riley keeps him there for the moment.
Destruction has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Destruction tries to circle away but Riley has him pinned against the cage.
Destruction wants to get back to striking at distance but Riley won't allow it.
Destruction is pushing Riley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Destruction gets control of Riley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Destruction will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Riley is looking to stand up but Destruction won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Destruction is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Destruction is pulling down on Riley's head. It's preventing any offense from Riley, at least for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Destruction kicks Riley off and gets to his feet.

Destruction tries to bum rush Riley with a series of wild strikes but Riley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Riley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Destruction was well out of range. Poor timing from Riley.

Destruction tries to clinch up but Riley circles away and keeps his distance.

and Riley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Destruction won't be happy with that.
Riley misses with the ground and pound.
Destruction is not content to let Riley control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Destruction tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Riley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Destruction keeps working.
Destruction is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Riley has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Destruction tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Riley presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Riley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Destruction tries to buck Riley off but Riley is having none of it.
Riley throws a strike aimed at the side of Destruction's head but Destruction avoids it well.
Destruction is looking for a sweep.
Riley working the strikes but Destruction uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Destruction is staying active underneath Riley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Destruction is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Riley is trying to control the action in half guard but Destruction is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Riley trying to work for an americana but Destruction has managed to regain full guard.
Rileyis looking to pass into half guard but Destruction pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Destruction is in guard.
Destruction really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Destruction stands up and waves to Riley to follow him.
Mr Destruction is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Riley tries to clinch but Destruction moves out of range.
Riley looks to land a combination but Destruction avoids it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Destruction misses with a double jab

and Riley counters with a shoot takedown. Destruction fights it but they end up in guard.
Riley looking to sit in guard and control but Destruction gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Destruction will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Destruction stops Riley from standing up.

Riley keeping moving, preventing Destruction from controlling successfully.
Destruction has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Riley is proving hard to escape from.

Destruction gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Destruction throws a left and a right that both miss

and Riley counters by moving into the clinch.
Destruction wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Destruction tries to break free but Riley pushes him back against the cage.

Riley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Destruction closes the distance but Riley moves to the side

and Riley counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Destruction's guard now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riley throws a big right hand that misses.

Riley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Riley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Destruction misses with a combination

and Riley moves into the clinch.
Destruction tries to circle away but Riley has him pinned against the cage.

Destruction successfully pulls guard.
Riley cracks Destruction with a solid left hand.
Destruction looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riley is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Al Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Riley counters with a nice uppercut.
Destruction throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Destruction scores with a three punch combo!
Mr Destruction is winning the standup battle so far.

Riley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Destruction's half guard.
Destruction blocking the ground and pound attempt from Riley.
Riley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Destruction's head.
Riley prevents Destruction from standing back up.
Riley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Destruction knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Riley passes the guard and advances to mount!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Riley tries to control but Destruction wriggling away.
Destruction working to try and regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Riley is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Destruction has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Destruction!
Al Riley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Riley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Riley throws a head kick but Destruction moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Al Riley.
I think Riley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
