Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Yvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Gabriel Marcurius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Marcurius's choice of entrance music: Burn in Hell by Twisted Sister. Victor Gabriel Marcurius is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Victor Gabriel Marcurius!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yvel with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Yvel looks to land a right hand but Marcurius moved out of range.
Marcurius fails to land the takedown.

Yvel darts in and clinches Marcurius up against the ropes.
Marcurius misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Yvel.
Marcurius drops down looking for an ankle pick but Yvel pulls his leg out and moves away.

Yvel lands a big head kick that sends Marcurius tumbling to the mat! Yvel takes a step backwards and waves Marcurius back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yvel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Marcurius looks gassed!

Yvel closes the distance and pushes Marcurius back into the ropes.

Yvel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Yvel rushes Marcurius and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Yvel prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ruben Yvel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Gabriel Marcurius.

Yvel lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Marcurius backwards.

Marcurius is rocked!

Yvel jerks Marcurius's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Marcurius drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Yvel goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Yvel because Marcurius was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
