Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keith Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Saez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lifer. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saez drives through and clinches with Elliott against the cage.
Saez breaks the clinch.
Elliott drops Saez with a left and a right! Oh, Saez is hurt - Elliott dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Simon Saez has been cut.
Saez tries to buck Elliott off but Elliott is having none of it.
Saez is still on wobbly legs! Can Elliott finish him?
Elliott stands up and beckons Saez to his feet.
Saez seems to have recovered his senses.
Elliott misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Saez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Elliott does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
