Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Norman!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanders. Sanders gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Norman is looking to clinch.
Sanders lands with an uppercut that bounces Norman off the cage and back into rage.

Sanders tries to keep at a distance but Norman has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanders has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Norman clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Sanders is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Norman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Norman is trying to get back to his feet but Sanders has full control of the position and if anything, Norman has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Norman tries to close the distance and clinch but Sanders swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sanders is looking to wear down Norman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Norman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sanders.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanders is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Norman sees it coming and defends easily.

Sanders seems to be looking for submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Norman is looking to escape.

Sanders is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Norman wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanders is pressing down on Norman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Norman is holding on for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
