PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Tokarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tokarev comes into the arena with Real Villains - Celph Titled blaring out of the sound system. Jones has chosen Gimme back my bullets as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands a jab.

Tokarev has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Tokarev's temple.

Tokarev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones dances in with a quick combination. Tokarev is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Jones snaps Tokarev's head back. Tokarev stumbles backwards against the cage. Jones steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Tokarev's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Tokarev just didn't come prepared.
