Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Dre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dreiko Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dre showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lao.
Lao swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mac Dre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lao throws a right hand that Dre ducks under and follows up with a left that Dre also avoids with ease.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lao can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dre throws and elbow that misses. Lao uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dre's guard. Nice move by Lao!
Dre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dre lands a decent punch to the body there.

Dre looking for a guillotine here but Lao defends easily.
Dre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lao can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dre is looking to escape.
Dre regains half guard.
Lao blocks the strikes from Dre.

Dre slips a jab and a cross from Lao.

Mac Dre dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Dre drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lao manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dre has Lao in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dre is on top in guard.
Dre postures up and lands a big shot to Lao's brow.

Dre throws a strike but Lao rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dre wants to sweep here but Lao controlling him for the moment.

Mac Dre showed his dominance in that final round.
