Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Hacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hacker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. We Takin Over kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hacker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pound throws a nice looking combination but Hacker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hacker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Pound counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hacker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pound is aware though and is defending well.

Pound stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pound throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hacker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pound closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Pound knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hacker on the ground.
Hacker wants to get back to his feet but Pound drags him back down.
Hacker tries to buck Pound off but Pound is having none of it.
Hacker looks gassed!

Pound decides to stand back up. Pound steps back and let's Hacker get back to his feet.
Pound scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Hacker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pound tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hacker was well out of range. Poor timing from Pound.
Pound throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pound thows a body shot but no joy.
Pound looks to score with a jab to the body but Hacker is just out of range.
Hacker avoids the body shot from Pound.
Gerald Hacker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pound misses the shot to the body.
Pound takes a swing at Hacker's ribcage but misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pound.

and Pound counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pound tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hacker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Pound is controlling the pace.
Pound's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pound seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hacker for as long as he can get away with.

Hacker is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pound asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Pound tries to move to mount but Hacker blocks the move with his legs.

and Pound counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Pound throws the kick towards the body but Hacker avoids it.

and Pound counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hacker won't be happy with that.
Pound is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hacker's shoulder. That is not cool.
Ground Pound overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pound decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hacker to his feet.
Hacker closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pound counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hacker thinking.

Hacker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pound misses with a body shot.

Pound shoots in and bounces Hacker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pound sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hacker's guard.
Pound is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hacker can do to turn this around?
Pound content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Pound has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Hacker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pound is controlling the pace.
Pound frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hacker squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hacker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pound to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hacker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pound doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pound manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
