Palhares has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's A Fight as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares slaps away a takedown attempt from Pounder, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pounder keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Palhares throws a nice looking combination but Pounder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Palhares misses with a looping right.

Pounder moves into range and clinches up with Palhares.
Palhares wants a takedown but no success here.
Pounder is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Palhares escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Palhares changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pounder tries to avoid it but Palhares manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pounder to the ground. Pounder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ground Pounder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Palhares scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Palhares throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Palhares throws a series of punches but Pounder moves out of range.
Pounder punishes Palhares's body with a nice straight punch.
Pounder displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Palhares throws out the jab.
