The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails with a takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Daley.
King slips a jab from Daley.

Daley throws a hook to the side of King's head but King sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

King decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Daley is trying to control but can't.
King seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

King uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Daley.
Daley looks to throw the jab but King is out of range.
Daley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. King looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Daley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent King stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
King keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Daley lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Daley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

King takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
King should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Daley bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps King's head backwards.
King takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Daley slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Daley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Daley scores with a crisp jab that stopped King in his tracks.
King on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
King walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Paul Daley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
