Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Panna Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panna Jaa looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maximus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jaa is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Maximus takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jaa tries to kick Maximus off but Maximus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Marcus Maximus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jaa tries to lock up and control but Maximus gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Maximus just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Maximus is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Maximus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Maximus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Maximus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well Maximus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
