Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Scorpion!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorpion wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance.
Scorpion misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Davis.
Davis throws a right hand that Scorpion ducks under and follows up with a left that Scorpion also avoids with ease.
Scorpion throws a jab when Davis was well out of range.
Scorpion throws a low kick but Davis avoids it.
Scorpion lands with a kick to the temple. Davis shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Scorpion has taken the fight to the clinch.

Davis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Scorpion defends well.
Davis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Davis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scorpion can do anything to dispel that myth.

Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Scorpion keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Scorpion is not content to let Davis control the position.
Davis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Davis is looking to take a break and control but Scorpion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Scorpion misses with a combination

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Scorpion won't be happy with that.
Scorpion wants to get back to his feet but Davis drags him back down.
Davis throws a strike aimed at the side of Scorpion's head but Scorpion avoids it well.
Davis is looking to take a break and control but Scorpion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Scorpion stops Davis from passing to mount.

Davis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Scorpion sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Scorpion is trying to escape the position but Davis is controlling the position.
Davis tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Davis advances to full mount.

Davis has control of Scorpion's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Scorpion regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Davis is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mickey Davis dominated that second round.
That's time! Davis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Scorpion wants to clinch
and Davis counters with a series of strikes. Scorpion will be more careful next time no doubt.

Davis shoots in and bounces Scorpion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Davis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Davis advances to half guard.
Davis passes the guard and advances to mount!
Davis is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scorpion has given up his back here. Will Davis look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Davis has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Scorpion has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Scorpion prevents Davis from getting a body triangle.
Mickey Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Davis has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Scorpion is defending well but eventually Davis manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Scorpion has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
