Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michal Kurpinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bob qwerty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurpinski has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Michal Kurpinski has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Michal Kurpinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, bob qwerty!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

qwerty has closed the distance and engaged Kurpinski in a clinch.
Kurpinski has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kurpinski gets underhooks to prevent qwerty's takedown attempt.
Kurpinski is trying to break free.
Kurpinski with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kurpinski misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kurpinski throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but qwerty blocks it with crossed arms.
Kurpinski is breathing heavily.
Kurpinski wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kurpinski drops down looking for an ankle pick but qwerty pulls his leg out and moves away.

qwerty clinches with his opponent.

qwerty manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
qwerty striking off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
qwerty is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kurpinski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for qwerty on the ground.

qwerty wriggles free and stands up.

qwerty has Kurpinski up against the cage in a clinch.
qwerty lands an uppercut.

A frustrated look appears on Kurpinski's face as he tries to break the clinch.

qwerty has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kurpinski uses from the top position.
qwerty wants to sweep here but Kurpinski controlling him for the moment.
qwerty is adopting a defensive guard.
Kurpinski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kurpinski throws a strike but qwerty rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
qwerty postures up and lands a big shot to Kurpinski's brow.

qwerty stands up and waves to Kurpinski to follow him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

qwerty wants the takedown. Kurpinski is fighting it off but qwerty persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kurpinski's guard against the cage.
Kurpinski wants to stand and escape but qwerty is having none of it.

qwerty working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kurpinski has momentary wrist control but qwerty slips an elbow through the middle.
Kurpinski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as qwerty accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
qwerty slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
qwerty thows a big elbow that misses.
qwerty sitting in guard, not really doing much.
qwerty is standing up over Kurpinski. Kurpinski looks to escape but qwerty dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

bob qwerty dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



qwerty shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
qwerty showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
qwerty tries to free his leg and advance position but Kurpinski is retaining full guard.

qwerty gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

qwerty is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kurpinski's half guard.
Kurpinski is not content to let qwerty control the position.

qwerty is trying to control. Kurpinski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kurpinski is trying to stand up here but qwerty is controlling him well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

qwerty decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

qwerty gets a takedown into half guard.
qwerty is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
qwerty not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
qwerty is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Kurpinski is trying to stand back up but qwerty is controlling him

qwerty looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
qwerty with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kurpinski is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

bob qwerty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Kurpinski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows qwerty to score an easy takedown into full guard.
qwerty trying to control the position from guard on top but Kurpinski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
bob qwerty has got the better of the ground game so far.

Despite being in the dominant position, bob qwerty just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
qwerty shoots in but no luck this time.

qwerty drives through and clinches with Kurpinski against the cage.
Kurpinski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kurpinski prevents a takedown attempt there.

qwerty lands a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

qwerty gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kurpinski has his takedown stuffed

and qwerty counters with a takedown into side control.
Kurpinski stops qwerty from passing to mount.

qwerty swings around for an armbar but Kurpinski sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into qwerty's guard.

Kurpinski stands and steps away. qwerty gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
qwerty slips nicely into half guard.
qwerty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kurpinski keeps working.

qwerty landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
qwerty looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that qwerty has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kurpinski wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kurpinski trying to control here.
Well, if qwerty is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kurpinski wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

qwerty is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kurpinski blocking the ground and pound attempt from qwerty.
Kurpinski is looking to control qwerty's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kurpinski avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kurpinski slips a jab and a cross from qwerty.

And that's the end of the fight!
bob qwerty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got qwerty winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
