Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickson's entrance music is SMC Hoodrats. A fine choice. Quik is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Three 6 Mafia - I Got. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dickson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quik sprawls well. Quik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dickson gets slowly back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Quik gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dickson regains guard.

Dickson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Quik has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Quik!

Quik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dickson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quik has managed to get both his arms back between Dickson's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dickson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dickson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Quik is one step ahead there.

Quik is working Dickson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dickson wants to stand but Quik is controlling his posture from full guard.

Dickson throws a strike but Quik rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Quik throws a shot from downtown. Dickson moves away and avoids it.

Quik is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Quik slips a nice elbow through Dickson's hands, connecting with Dickson's forehead.
Quik thows a huge punch but Dickson dodges it nicely.
Dickson is trying to maintain the position but Quik is very close to passing his half guard.
Dickson tries to get to full guard but Quik has control of the leg.
Quik thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dickson's head.
Dickson wants to control but Quik is keeping busy.
Quik takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Quik connects with a jab.

Dickson misses with a takedown attempt
and Quik counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Quik counters by clinching up.
Quik manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Quik pushes Dickson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Quik lands an elbow inside that Dickson shrugs off.

Quik has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dickson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Quik gets his hands free as Dickson looks to control.
Quik misses with punches from the back.
Quik scores with punches to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dickson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Quik is not going to allow Dickson to sit and survive in this position.
Dickson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Quik has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Dickson.
Quik controlling the position well here. Dickson rolled but Quik kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Quik connects with a couple of big shots that have Dickson covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Dickson! Quik fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
