Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean O Malley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean O Malley!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts O Malley as he jumps to the side.
Stanley looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

O Malley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stanley did well to prevent O Malley getting side control.
O Malley is trying to control the action in half guard but Stanley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Stanley has hold of O Malley's hands but O Malley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

O Malley decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Stanley doesn't succeed with the takedown

so O Malley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
O Malley won't allow Stanley to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

O Malley stands and steps away. Stanley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
O Malley scoring well with a low kick there.
Paul Stanley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Malley throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

O Malley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

O Malley decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
O Malley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Stanley throws a lazy head kick

and O Malley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stanley won't be happy with that.

and O Malley counters with a nice uppercut.

O Malley has taken the fight to the clinch.

O Malley connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A head kick from O Malley lands but Stanley takes it in his stride.

O Malley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
O Malley throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Stanley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

O Malley decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Stanley walks forward, straight into a front kick from O Malley.

O Malley thumps Stanley with a low kick.
O Malley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
O Malley misses with a wild body shot.
Stanley throws out a powerful jab.
Stanley throws a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

O Malley drives through and clinches with Stanley against the cage.

O Malley jumps into guard, dragging Stanley to the mat.
O Malley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stanley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
O Malley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stanley is controlling him.

O Malley wriggles free and stands up.
O Malley lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
O Malley throws a quick inside leg kick.
Stanley with a poor takedown
and O Malley counters with an inside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Stanley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
O Malley moves in looking to clinch but Stanley pushes him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stanley throws a head kick that misses
and O Malley counters with a low kick, right behind Stanley 's knee.

O Malley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean O Malley dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


O Malley tries to clinch up but Stanley circles away and keeps his distance.
Stanley is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

O Malley darts in and clinches Stanley up against the cage.
O Malley lands an elbow inside that Stanley shrugs off.

O Malley manages to pull guard.
Stanley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
O Malley lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stanley!
Stanley is squirming around, avoiding O Malley's attempts to control the action.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stanley is trying to stand up.

Stanley trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Stanley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

O Malley gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
O Malley scores with a kick to the midsection.
O Malley delivers a nice body kick.
O Malley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stanley takes a kick to the side of the head.

O Malley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

O Malley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

O Malley is working for a kimura but Stanley is defending it quite comfortably.
Stanley pushes O Malley off looking to stand but O Malley dives back in and keeps control.
O Malley trying to mount his opponent but Stanley defends it.
Stanley tries to kick O Malley off but O Malley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

O Malley is trying to work for a kimura but Stanley is defending well.
Stanley pushes O Malley off looking to stand but O Malley dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
O Malley shoots for a takedown but Stanley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
O Malley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
O Malley wants to clinch.
Stanley doesn't succeed with the takedown

and O Malley counters with a takedown into side control.

Stanley is pushing O Malley's head away, looking to escape. O Malley manages to hold on to the position though.
O Malley postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Stanley is trying to get back to his feet.
O Malley tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

O Malley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
O Malley throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Stanley looks to land a left hand but O Malley moved out of range nicely.
Stanley blocks a head kick by O Malley.

O Malley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than O Malley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean O Malley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Stanley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

O Malley darts in and clinches Stanley up against the cage.

O Malley wants the takedown. Stanley is fighting it off but O Malley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stanley's guard against the cage.
O Malley trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

O Malley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

O Malley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

O Malley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stanley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of O Malley, into his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stanley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
O Malley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

O Malley is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Stanley rolls with it to try and escape but O Malley cranks on the arm and Stanley is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sean O Malley!
