Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Bassey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideo Nomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nomo has chosen Down Rodeo as his entrance music. Hideo Nomo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spencer Bassey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hideo Nomo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bassey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bassey misses with a series of wild punches.
Nomo misses with a takedown attempt - Bassey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bassey stuffs the takedown attempt from Nomo. Nomo gets slowly back to his feet.
Bassey tries a head kick but it misses.
Bassey looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Nomo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bassey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nomo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bassey lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Hideo Nomo has been cut.
Nomo avoids a kick to the body.
Bassey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nomo fails to land the takedown.
Spencer Bassey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hideo Nomo.
Nomo shoots in but no luck this time.
Nomo shoots in and drives through. Bassey sprawls well.
Bassey stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bassey throws a jab but it's blocked by Nomo.
Nomo keeps the fight on the outside.
Nomo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bassey as he avoids it easily.
Nomo looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bassey throws a lazy right hand but Nomo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bassey throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Oooh a lovely combination from Bassey sends Nomo down but not out. Bassey dives into side control looking to finish.

Nomo is rocked!
Bassey creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Nomo is still in real trouble! Can Bassey finish him?
Bassey lands a few punches from side control.

That has opened up Hideo Nomo's cut even more.
Nomo taking punishment in the form of punches.
Bassey is working Nomo over with some ground and pound from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bassey lands an elbow.
Bassey works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Check out the look on Bassey's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Bassey looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Nomo is trying to control Bassey's posture but Bassey avoids it.
Bassey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nomo on the ground.
Nomo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Nomo seems to have recovered his senses.
Nomo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Nice strikes from Bassey there.
Nomo looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bassey is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Bassey lands a nice shot to the head.

The cut above Hideo Nomo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hideo Nomo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
