The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bustamante takes a swing at Jenkins's ribcage but misses.
Bustamante slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jenkins slips a straight right by Bustamante.
Bustamante lands a slapping body shot.
Bustamante doesn't manage to clinch there - Jenkins circles away.
Bustamante moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.
Jenkins closes the distance and clinches up with Bustamante, looking for a takedown. Jenkins pushes Bustamante against the cage but Bustamante circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bustamante lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jenkins has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jenkins and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jenkins shoots for a takedown but Bustamante saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rosco Jenkins just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Demian Bustamante.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bustamante, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
