Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Salvius Caltorius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Miller is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Salvius Caltorius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Miller!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Caltorius will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Miller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good shot there by Caltorius.


It looks like Travis Miller has been cut.

Caltorius forces Miller back against the cage and clinches.
Caltorius wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Miller prevents a takedown attempt there.

Caltorius successfully pulls guard.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caltorius swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Caltorius controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself.

Caltorius uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Caltorius misses with a leg kick.
Miller tries to clinch up but Caltorius circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Miller prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvius Caltorius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Miller takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Caltorius wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Caltorius accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Caltorius wants to stand but Miller is controlling his posture from full guard.
Miller is pulling down on Caltorius's head. It's preventing any offense from Caltorius, at least for the moment.
Caltorius not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round but I would say that Salvius Caltorius will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Caltorius is trying to get back to full guard.
Caltorius is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Miller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Caltorius doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miller.
Caltorius really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well, if Miller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Miller shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Caltorius's guard.
Caltorius looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there.
Caltorius is working hard here to advance position.
Caltorius will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Caltorius gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Miller counters with a good low kick that Caltorius was not able to check.

Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Caltorius!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Caltorius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away.

Caltorius working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Travis Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Caltorius throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Donk. Caltorius catches Miller right on the button with a cross.

Caltorius is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Travis Miller has got the better of the ground game so far.
Caltorius wants to free his trapped foot but Miller is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Caltorius is looking to stall here but Miller recovers full guard.

Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Caltorius wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment.

Caltorius cracks Miller with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Miller suckers Caltorius into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Miller is now in Caltorius's guard!

Miller gets to his feet. Caltorius looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Caltorius gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Caltorius lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miller!

Miller pushes Caltorius off looking to stand but Caltorius dives back in and keeps control.
Caltorius looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Caltorius is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Caltorius in particular looking to stall.
Caltorius wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miller keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caltorius is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Caltorius is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Caltorius takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Miller misses with a body kick.

Miller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Caltorius misses with the combination.

Caltorius is trying to keep Miller in close.
Caltorius wants to stand and escape but Miller is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Travis Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Miller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
