Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Mayhew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Taikuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Taikuri's choice of entrance music: MC Kalle H. rap. Timo Taikuri has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Taikuri.

Mayhew shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mayhew was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Taikuri is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taikuri swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Mayhew looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Taikuri bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Mayhew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taikuri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Taikuri wants to pass the guard but Mayhew is keeping the position.

Taikuri with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Mayhew had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Taikuri is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mayhew Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Taikuri's back instead.
Taikuri tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mayhew seems to have got his legs back now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mayhew postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Taikuri in real trouble here! The ref calls for Taikuri to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
